ANNOUNCEMENTS
Shirley welcomed guests from South Orange County (OC) Exchange. South OC is having a reverse raffle on September 30th and tickets are $100. Shirley thanked Chuck Seven for handling audio-visual equipment this month and asked for future volunteers. Dr. Bob Wood announced Roy Shlemon was a football book winner. Mike Gertner said first and last place in the football pool went to a tie breaker. Joe Brown was low man and Ken DuFour won. Joe said 50 people, including the Mayor and Library Director, celebrated International Literacy Day at the Newport Beach library. Leo Fracalosy circulated a get well card for Wally Ziglar. Richard Swinney sent a card on everyone’s behalf to Bob Kinton who is at home sick.

Dr. Bob welcomed his son Ryan Wood. Ryan earned a B.S. in mathematics from Cal Poly SLO. For 40 years, he worked in marketing, sales, and engineering management in top companies including Intel and Toshiba. In 2020, he founded Electric Fusion Systems, aiming to harness fusion energy to provide electricity at a vastly lower cost. He addressed us about extraterrestrials (ETs) and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
Ryan first became interested in ufology in the 1970s when he met ufologist Stan Friedman. In the early 1990s, his interest was truly sparked after reviewing leaked documents Dr. Bob had received. In 2005, Ryan published “MAJIC Eyes Only, Earth’s Encounters with Extraterrestrial Technolgy.” (MAJIC stands for military assessment of joint investigative committees.) His book reviewed 74 UFO crashes, scoring each one’s authenticity. The second edition, to be released by early 2024, will cover 112 global crashes between 1862 and 2008.
The United States’ work with ETs began when Harry Truman established the CIA and NSA. In 1950, he stated, “I can assure you that flying saucers, given that they exist, are not constructed by any power on earth.” Others acknowledged alien life. J. Edgar Hoover alerted us in 1947, “We must insist upon full access to disks recovered…in the L.A. case, the Army grabbed it and would not let us have it for cursory examination.” General MacArthur warned in 1955, “…countries on earth will have to unite to survive and to make a common front against attack by people of other planets.”
Fast forward to 2023, information about UFOs continues to be concealed. A UFO whistleblower from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, however, recently admitted, under oath before Congress, the existence of an active disinformation campaign about ETs, as well as the recovery of nonhuman biological entities and crashed UFOs. He gave a list of agencies, individuals, and corporations involved with ETs and offered to provide more details in a “SCIF” (sensitive compartmented information facility.) He declined to comment on communications with ETs. More recently, Jaime Maussan, a Mexican journalist and UFO enthusiast, reported to Mexican Congress the discovery of two, tiny, mummified bodies with elongated heads and three fingers per hand. Ryan and Dr. Bob know Maussan and do not believe he has any reason to deceive.
In 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a flying saucer crashed and a pastor was called to bless three dead aliens. The military and FBI immediately removed the evidence. Alhough sworn to secrecy, in 1984, on her death bed, the wife of the man who found the UFO gave crash details to her granddaughter. Ryan shared an image of a March, 1950 FBI memo to Hoover stating 3“flying saucers,” each with 3 human shaped bodies 3 feet in height, had been discovered in New Mexico.
Ryan addressed why our government is stonewalling us. He posits it fears a cascade of inquisition about reverse engineering the ET technology, the companies doing so, etc. Even most presidents are not made aware of the full truth. Each year the Majestic 12 (MJ-12) consider the pros and cons of full disclosure and always conclude suppression is best. (MJ-12 is a committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials originally appointed by Truman to facilitate recovery and investigation of alien spacecraft). Ryan pointed us to Richard Dolan’s 2012 book “After Disclosure” that contemplates scenarios that might unfold if the full truth were revealed.
Ryan ended with lists of truths about UFOs and ETs.
Mitch asked whether conversations with ETs have been recorded. Ryan directed him to the book “Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens” by John Mack, a Harvard psychiatrist. He said half of those abducted by aliens have full mental recall of their experiences, while the others can reveal them with hypnosis. Some abductees have evidence of implants or marks on their legs.
A South OC guest asked if Area 51 and similar facilities are connected underground. Ryan believes they are connected with tunnels. When asked about U.S. agreements with ETs, Ryan said he is aware of one with Hoover and suspects there are others. Michael Call asked how aliens can be here when it is impossible to go faster than the speed of light. Ryan agreed to be here the ETs know how to exceed the speed of light. He explained the aliens must be inside a bubble to travel the speed of light.
Ryan drew the raffle winners. Gary Tewinkle and guest Chris Tiemann won $30. Shirley imparted her thought of the day. “When you take risks you won’t always get positive results, but when you avoid them you won’t get anything at all.”
